Our story

Coolentry Studio began as a newsletter for friends who loved mailing handmade cards. Over time, it grew into a thoughtfully-paced curriculum that blends studio craft with modern production. Today we teach thousands of learners how to design, letter, and engineer cards that carry meaning.

Mission & values

Mindful progress

We replace pressure with rhythm: short lessons, repeatable drills, and steady projects that build confidence.

Nature-first

We favor recycled stocks, water-based media, and techniques that minimize waste—while keeping color rich and inviting.

Open practice

We publish templates and checklists you can reuse. You keep the rights to everything you make here.

How we teach

  • Start with a visual warm-up (strokes, swatches, folds) before composition.
  • Apply real constraints: A2, A6, and square formats; envelope-friendly thickness and weight.
  • Use checklists for finishing: trimming, scoring, burnishing, and packaging.
  • Translate analog to digital: scan, clean edges, and set crops for print or PNG exports.
